Returning Home After the Smokey Mountain Fires

The wildfires that have been raging in the Gatlinburg area which have caused 13 deaths and consumed over 17,000 acres are about 58% contained. With some areas are still burning, the much needed rains and high humidity have helped with man’s efforts to abate the fires. Homeowners in some areas are being allowed in to survey the damage to their homes, but many places are still inaccessible. MNA Disaster Response is working with local leadership to help determine next steps in response to this event. Please check back here for more information as it becomes available.
