"And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward Him and find Him."  Acts 17:26-27

Greetings!

My name is Hernando Sáenz, the Hispanic American Ministries Coordinator for MNA. In this capacity, my primary responsibility is to work with other key leaders in equipping PCA churches and presbyteries to minister among all generations of Hispanics living in the United States and Canada, through the establishment of healthy, reproducing churches and ministries. The movement will be fueled by PCA Hispanic and Anglo key leaders who have a passion for reaching the Hispanic American harvest all across North America.

Today, Hispanic Americans represent the largest and fastest growing people group in the United States. People with Hispanic roots are estimated to comprise 24% of the total population of the United States sometime between the years 2030 and 2050. Only the newest immigrants are limited to Spanish language ministries. The children of new immigrants almost immediately move into full bilingual mode! Almost all subsequent generations of Hispanic Americans are at least bilingual and many move to using only the English language by the second or third generation.

Although Hispanic Americans represent a huge and growing population group, the number of PCA churches, church plants, and ministries focused on this group is proportionately far less than those serving other people groups. The number of Hispanic American pastors ordained by the PCA also pales in comparison. As the MNA Hispanic American Ministries Coordinator, I am passionate about trusting God to change this trend in the PCA

Vision

The vision of MNA Hispanic American ministries is to create a movement among PCA churches and presbyteries who are aggressively pursuing a Great Commission agenda in their community which includes ministering among and incorporating into the life of the church all generations of Hispanic Americans.

Goals:
I. To see a growing percentage of churches in the PCA engaged in greater ministry development among the Spanish speaking population and among English speaking Hispanics. This will include:

a. Casting vision
b. Consulting
c. Coaching

II. To see a growing number of new leaders being trained, equipped and empowered to serve the booming Hispanic demographic in the United States and Canada. This will include:

a. Training
b. Recruiting
c. Funding

III. To see the growing number of leaders, churches, and ministries involved in ministering among Hispanic Americans in the PCA resourced and connected for greater effectiveness. This will include:

a. Connecting
b. Shepherding
c. Resourcing

Ministry News

Living and ministering in the intersection of two cultures is not easy, but it points to the inescapable reality of living in the USA. Our response to the burgeoning Hispanic population in the USA will help keep the PCA relevant. I’m encouraged to see the Lord opening the eyes and hearts of many PCA churches and Presbyteries to the strategic importance of Hispanic ministry in their own back yard. I am blessed to have a team of six committed leaders to help advance the gospel among Hispanics in the USA... Click here to read more from MNA Hispanic American Ministries Coordinator Hernando Saenz.
