MNA ESL Holds First National Leadership Training

MNA ESL was established in 2005 and since that time has depended on the gracious Southern Baptist Denomination to train and certify our ESL Trainers. That has just changed. Nancy Booher, MNA ESL Ministries Director, just hosted the first ever MNA ESL Leadership Training at her home church, Chapelgate PCA, in Marriottsville, MD.

Ten experienced ESL ministry leaders from around the nation participated in this intensive three day training. This training is the culmination of many months of effort in which MNA ESL developed their own teacher training curriculum based on the Southern Baptist’s ESL Manual, “Teaching English Language Learners The Good News”. The successful completion of this training by these ten trainers more than doubles the number of trainers MNA ESL has available to provide teacher training at PCA and other churches across the nation.

The first ten years of MNA ESL have been extremely fruitful with well over 200 churches trained and guided to develop ESL Ministries. Many of these ministries have thrived for years and reached many for Christ. Nancy states that she is extremely excited about what the next 10 years will bring as God works through the expanded MNA ESL Team and his people to spread the Gospel through sharing our English language. Please keep us in your hearts and prayers!
