Job Title:  Assistant to the Pastor
Job Description:  Develop, train and shepherd a volunteer team to make newcomer follow-up phone calls or visits. Identify and train men and women for one-on-one discipleship. Respond to pastoral visitation calls and requests to meet with a pastor. Teach New Membership classes as needed. Assist in leading worship. There would also be occasional preaching and teaching Sunday School.
Paid or Volunteer:  Some pay.
Housing:  None.
Special Qualifications:  Fulfills the Membership requirements at EPC as outlined by the BCO. Fulfills the character qualifications and duties of Elder as taught in Scripture (1 Tim. 3:1-8). Has a track record of discipleship and evangelism in personal life and ministry. Demonstrates a shepherd’s heart for congregation. Has the ability and desire to provide Biblical counsel and care to hurting people.
Hours per Week:  5-10 hours per week.
Worksite Location (in person, virtual, etc.):  In person.
Expected Length of Need:  2 years.

We are a PCA church in SW Florida.  Attendance fluctuates between 120 – 200 depending on the time of year.  Our congregation is around 30 years old.
