2009 Internship

Responsibilities:

• Plan a ‘signature’ fund-raising special event for approval by FCFC Board of Directors (one that can be repeated in subsequent years)
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive fund-raising database, using available technology
• Request in-kind donations and sponsorships for the special event
• Develop written event sponsorship marketing materials, working with FCFC graphic design team
• Organize volunteer team to execute the special event
• Create checklists, forms and templates for use in future special events
• Host team planning meetings
• Develop the income and expense budget for the event, in collaboration with staff
• Work with other FCFC program teams to organize ‘mini’ events to expose donors to the agency

Requirements:

• College degree
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office package or MAC equivalent)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Written communication and verbal skills
• Self-starter, highly-motivated individual which does not require intensive supervision

Helpful, but not required:

• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
• Experience in graphic design or graphics software programs
• Preference given to individual with event planning or public relations experience
• Familiarity with faith community groups in South Florida
