Hope Hollow Ministries is a year-round camp for children and young adults (ages 5-25) located in Canton, MS. Our campers have been diagnosed with developmental delays resulting from physical and/or intellectual disabilities.
OUR MISSION:
Our mission is to provide a place where children & young adults with special needs may enjoy the independence, fellowship and adventure that a camp experience provides as we share Jesus' love with others.
OUR NEED FOR VOLUNTEERS:
Volunteer groups are needed to serve as buddies with our campers during their camp week. Each volunteer works ‘one-on-one’ with their assigned camper. Volunteers will work alongside their camper buddy and assist with various activities such as crafts, music time, puppets, outdoor recreation, horseback riding, eating time, etc.
If the volunteer groups help with a week that is a day camp, then they will volunteer within the day camp from 9:00am-2:00pm. After the campers leave for the day and cleanup has taken place, the volunteer group will have free time to spend as they choose.
Volunteer groups will arrive the Sunday evening prior to camp beginning. They will be served dinner and participate in a training session and learn about the camper they will be paired with for the week.
COST:
Cost for volunteers groups coming for the Sunday-Thursday sessions: $150/each.
Price includes lodging and meals. Bunk beds are provided in two separate bunk rooms, but volunteers need to bring linens for their bed and their own towels. Two showers are available in each bunk room.
Volunteer cost for two night overnight retreat: $60.00 includes lodging and meals
