Bio:
Julie moved to Atlanta from her home state of Pennsylvania in 2011 and has been blessed by being part of Christos Community Church. She received a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Miami and has worked as a physical therapist for 14 years, in a variety of settings: inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and pediatrics (infants to 18 years of age). Julie enjoys her work as a physical therapist and has seen people’s need for Christ in a variety of different professional work situations. She enjoys traveling, photography, reading, sports, and spending time with family and friends.

Why are you passionate about disability ministry?
As a physical therapist, I have seen many people put their hope in the medical field, and I want them to realize & know that our only true hope and fulfillment is in the Lord. I also want people to realize that all of us are made in the image of God with special gifts and abilities.

What topics in the arena of special needs ministry are of most interest to you?
Ministering to the family, physical disability

What is your heartfelt prayer for our churches, when it comes to special needs ministry?
That people who make up the church would truly know how to be a friend to those dealing with special needs and know how to walk alongside them through life.
