Nada Ghattas

Nada Ghattas.jpg

“Hi. I am Deaf and have Cerebral Palsy. My life is not easy. However, I believe that God’s word is true, filled with wisdom. It comforts me. I know that Jesus loves me.” So begins the blog of Nada Ghattas, a young woman in love with Jesus and filled with the knowledge of his love for her.

Read on and learn how in the midst of the challenges of living with two disabilities, the truth of one of Nada’s favorite scriptures shines through her life… “I can do everything through God who gives me strength.”

MNA SNM: Please share with us a little bit about yourself. How would you describe yourself to someone else? What things do you like to do? What do you not like? What are your gifts?

Nada: I like to read the Bible everyday because God's Word comforts me. I also like to write my blog to share with people about Jesus. In addition, I like to read Christian books to learn more about the Lord. My gift is writing the blog to serve the Lord.

MNA SNM: You seem like such a cheerful and thankful person. How has God blessed you in your life—what are some of the most important things He has taught you?

Nada: God taught me to not to worry about my future and my life because He has great plan for my future. Also He taught me to trust in Him always.

MNA SNM: Having a disability can be difficult. What is the hardest thing, for you, about having Cerebral Palsy and being hearing impaired?

Nada: The hardest thing for me is having Cerebral Palsy and being Deaf because Cerebral Palsy makes my body tired and it makes my sign language not clear and my right hand is weak, my eyes are weak. But Jesus lives in my heart that makes me happy. I know that Jesus loves me very much,

MNA SNM: All of us need encouraging people in our lives. Sometimes they are family members. Sometimes they are friends from church. Who is one of your favorite people that God has put in your life—and why are they special to you?

Nada: My family is my favorite people that God put in my life because they love me very much and take care of me.

MNA SNM: What do you wish that others understood better about you?

Nada: I wish the others would read my blog and understand better about me.

MNA SNM: What are your favorite Bible verses?

Nada: My favorite verses from the Bible are:

“O Lord our Lord how majestic is your name in all the earth.” Psalm 8:9.

“I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13.

“Rejoice in the Lord always, I will again rejoice” Philippians 4:4.

MNA SNM: If you could share one message with the Church about the subject of disability, what would it be?

Nada: I would share message with Church about how Jesus supports me and comforts me every day of my life.
