TN Tornado Response

Over Easter weekend 105 tornadoes made their way across the southeastern United States. MNA Disaster Response was able to provide supplies from  Monroe LA to Heidelberg MS to Chattanooga TN to Seneca SC. As the need for volunteer teams came into view the COVID situation began to spread which halted plans as mobilizing outside volunteers was not possible due to ‘sheltering-in-place’.

Earlier in March Nashville and Cookeville TN were particularly hard hit by an EF-4 tornado with sustained winds of 175 mph. MNA Disaster Response has been working with the local PCA leadership to determine needs and next steps once the COVID season clears. Our PCA churches have requested help with the provision of Sheds of Hope. SOH kits have already been delivered so once we get the ‘all clear’ we will need volunteer teams to help with the construction of these sheds.
