Strong Parakaleo Presence at General Assembly Yields “Champions”

Parkaleo at General Assembly
Parakaleo’s Ruth Ann Batstone, Tami Resch, and Lorrie Derringer interact with women during a booth talk.

Parakaleo was featured as this year’s Love Gift recipient at General Assembly. Many attendees reported that the Love Gift video captured the challenges, stresses and joys of church planting, and explained how training the pastor’s spouse yields significant benefits to the church.

The Parakaleo booth at General Assembly featured giveaways, video interviews, a drawing for a free gift card, and booth talks. We also recruited dozens of “Champions,” or leaders who signed up to show the Love Gift video at their churches.

Check out our Facebook page to see short video testimonies from pastors about how Parakaleo has enriched their marriages, families, and ministries. Here are some of their comments:

“Church planting is incredibly hard. When my wife was experiencing some turmoil in [church] relationships, her [Parakaleo] coach was incredible. [Her] advice and insights on the church planting situation were incredibly helpful to my wife and to me.”

“[The training] was a refreshing time for her. She’s been able to share it with me. My wife is an incredible encouragement, so I’m benefiting from everything she’s learning.”

“It’s been super beneficial to her because she’s found community relating to a lot of women who are not only in the same stage of life but who understand ministry struggles.”
