2. Opportunity:

Job Title:  Workers to complete new worship and fellowship building.
Job Description:  Help is needed installing tongue and groove ceiling, hanging doors, finishing floors, installing kitchen cabinets and bathroom fixtures, doing finish carpentry, and site work.
Paid or Volunteer:  Volunteer.
Housing:  Options include: Cabin with the comforts of home, two 2 bedroom apartments with additional beds, motel rooms at state park 20 minutes away with facilities for campers.
Special Qualifications:  People are needed with average to skilled building experience (from helper to handy man). Also needed is someone to cook team’s meals. Local deacon will provide oversight and consultation. Local volunteers will help any team as they are available.
Hours per Week:  30 to 40.
Worksite Location (in person, virtual, etc.):  In person.
Expected Length of Need:  Until project completed. Volunteers should plan to be on site for 3 to 8 days at a time.

Sandlick Presbyterian Church was founded in 1930 as an outreach-minded congregation in the heart of the Appalachian coal region. The county we serve has only two stoplights and has been affected by job loss and broken homes. With the Lord’s blessing, we now average 55 in attendance on Sunday morning including numerous seekers.
