4. About the Ministry:

Here is a brief paragraph (120 words) describing the church or ministry to be served (size, demographics, year started, etc.).

Wheels for the World (WFTW) is a ministry program of Joni and Friends, founded by Joni Eareckson Tada. Since 1994, WFTW has provided wheelchairs to more than 140,000 people in less resourced countries. Used wheelchairs are collected all over the United States by more than 350 “Chair Corps” volunteers. They are then restored by inmates in 16 different U.S. prisons, and then shipped overseas. Volunteer teams of Physical/Occupational Therapists then meet the wheelchairs in-country and fit them to individuals while providing the gospel message.
