MNA SecondCareer Director
After a thirty-year career as a dental specialist, Gary felt called by the Lord to pursue a second career in the ministry. He earned his Master of Divinity degree at Reformed Theological Seminary (Orlando) and was ordained in the PCA. His experience in running a professional business, volunteering in the community, mentoring, serving in PCA churches as a lay leader, ruling elder, and teaching elder (Pastor of Seniors and Pastor of Missions), working with youth and seniors, and sitting on mission boards has equipped him to understand the needs of second career volunteers and the churches they will serve. He has a heart for coming alongside those who are passionate about spreading the gospel.
Gary is a Virginia native and currently lives in the Richmond area. He and his wife Marci were married in 1972 and have two grown children.
MNA SecondCareer Facilitator
Barbara grew up in Upstate New York, but has lived most of her adult life in Richmond, VA. She came to faith as a young adult through the invitation of a co-worker to attend a Bible study and then through the ministries of a PCA church in the area. As a new Christian she was strongly impacted by a workshop on spiritual gifts and has since sought to develop and put to use the gifts the Lord has given her to serve the Body of Christ. A graduate of RTS/Jackson (Marriage and Family Therapy), Barbara has served the Lord for over 20 years as a counselor and on church ministry staff as children’s director. She finds joy in recruiting and supporting volunteers who want to serve the Lord with the gifts and resources they have been given.
