About Charlie Dey

Charlie Dey originally hails from West Chester, PA and now lives in St. Louis, Missouri with Courtney, his wife of 18 years. Courtney and Charlie have four boys: Charlie, Jacob, Timothy, and Henry, who fill their lives with few finished sentences and breath-catching adventure. They worship at Grace & Peace Fellowship Church.

Charlie completed his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies at Covenant College, Lookout Mountain, GA (2005). He earned his Master of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary, Saint Louis, MO (2010).  He subsequently completed five units of clinical pastoral education (2011) and joined the pastoral care staff of Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO as a staff chaplain.  In this role he carried out gospel ministry in a variety of clinical settings including cardio-thoracic surgery and intensive care, pulmonary critical care and psychiatric services as a board certified chaplain.  After serving in this position for five years he transitioned to the role of Pastoral Care Manager at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital (2015).  Three years later he moved to the Pastoral Care Manager role at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital (2018).  This position was expanded to include the management of the Pastoral Care Department at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, which he served until 2023.

Throughout this time Charlie has maintained his service to the United States Air Force.  He began this call to military service in 2001 by joining the Tennessee Air National Guard.  He served as a Satellite Communication Systems Journeyman and completed 11 years of enlisted service before commissioning to the Air Force Chaplain Corps.  In the subsequent 11 years Charlie has progressed to the rank of Major and is currently assigned to the 131st Bomb Wing Missouri Air National Guard, Whiteman AFB, MO.

Charlie has served as the MNA Administrative Manager, Chaplain Ministries/PRCC Associate Endorser of Administration since summer 2023.
