Rev. John Chua was born in Malaysia and immigrated to the U.S. when he was in his twenties. After engaging in campus ministry at Oklahoma City University, he completed his theological studies at Denver Seminary. John served as a missionary in China before being called as a church planter in 2001 to help establish Springfield Church. Since 2007 he has served as the Senior Pastor of the Chinese Christian Church in Virginia.

As well as directing MNA City Lights Chinese Ministries, John is a Network Director for the City Lights Church Planting Network.
