Jon was born and raised in Kentucky and attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington. In college he was introduced to the PCA at Tates Creek Presbyterian. He served as a campus minister with Cru at the University of Kentucky for nearly 10 years and then 2 more years with Cru at Lindenwood University in St. Louis, Missouri while attending Covenant Theological Seminary.

After a year as a pastoral intern at Covenant Presbyterian Church, he graduated with his Master of Divinity degree in 2018. Jon was then ordained as a Teaching Elder in the Southwest Florida Presbytery and served for 2 years as an Associate Pastor at Redeemer City Church in Winter Haven, Florida.

Since 2020, he had served back in St. Louis as an Associate Pastor at Restoration Community Church (PCA). He is passionate about discipleship and evangelism in the local church and about recruiting and developing young church planters for the PCA.

He and his wife Katie have been married for 20 years and she is an amazing partner in ministry and homeschools their four children, Elizabeth, Rebekah, Susannah, and Jonathan Jr.
