Leslie P Johnson

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
| Refugee and Immigrant Ministry

About Leslie P Johnson

Leslie previously served as the Cross-cultural Training Specialist for PCA Mission to North America’s Refugee and Immigration Ministry, and has led the ministry’s physical presence at General Assembly for several years.

She developed a deep understanding of cross-cultural issues from her own experience living overseas for more than 26 years, raising 3 children in several countries, and traveling to speak or work in 15 nations.

Leslie is eager to help churches to welcome and assist refugees, immigrants and other internationals so that these recent arrivals can understand, navigate, and acclimatize to the culture of their new home country and grow in relationship with the God who loves them and has brought them near. (Acts 17:26, 27)

Her passion and skill for helping those in the PCA to expand their “cultural intelligence” (CQ) – the ability to relate, work, and share Christ effectively in our increasingly diverse communities – is a valuable resource for our denomination and the entire body of Christ.

Leslie received her Master of Education from Covenant College and served as the head of school of the Christian International School of Prague for over 11 years. She also is a qualified administrator in the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and the Cultural Intelligence Center’s assessments.

She and her husband, Tom, a PCA Teaching Elder, writer, theologian and specialist in religious freedom issues, have been married for more than 45 years. They now live in Tennessee, and they have 3 grown children and five delightful grandchildren.
